We are a family run business, established in the beautiful Shropshire countryside for over 20 years. We have a passion for good (newest is not always best!) herbaceous plants and, as our soil is dry and sandy, we have many drought tolerant varieties in our catalogue. As holders of the National collection of Acanthus (John), we are also interested in all Acanthaceae and are trialling some new plants in the family for hardiness, as we are with Cannas that are another great interest (of Sarah’s).
We attend many shows and plant sales throughout the country, as well as selling from the nursery and via mail order. We are proud to be an RHS partnership nursery, this year giving two practical days, one on Pruning and the other on Primulas and Auriculas. We also have a number of talks we can deliver, distance being no object. We also welcome group visits during or out of opening hours. The nursery is disabled friendly with wheelchair access to the outside sales beds. Coffee and tea are available on a DIY basis.
