A treat is in store for you when you visit our traditional, family run nursery set within the walls of an old walled garden.  We pride ourselves on our customer service, and the advice about plants we can offer you whether you are new to gardening or more knowledgeable. Design advice also available.
We grow a wide variety of quality plants including herbaceous perennials both common and unusual, ferns, grasses, shrubs, climbers and this year we will also have a small range of alpines and culinary herbs.  Plants are grown naturally without the use of extra heat or insecticides making them ideal for your garden.  Our plants grow extremely well in the north of England and elsewhere as many of our customers can testify!  
We work hard to fulfil our eco-policy feeding the birds and re-using bags and boxes and have obtained a Cumbria Business Environment Network Bronze award.  We mix our own compost which is peat reduced to ensure that not only do the plants grow well in the nursery but also establish and grow well in your garden.
